Safe staycations in London

May 19, 2021 by admin

Time to shine

It takes more than a lockdown to dull the capital’s shine, and there’s been a quiet buzz rumbling under the surface of the city as bars, restaurants, theatres and parks plan their big comebacks. As a result, there are plenty of things to do in London in May.

If you’re staying in…Hyde Park

Hyde Park London
enjoy the sunshine in Hyde Park.

At Native Hyde Park, you’re just minutes away from one of the most beautiful green spaces in the UK. There’s nowhere in London more perfect for a thoroughly Covid-safe reunion with friends, a riverside picnic by the Serpentine or just a day exploring the Rose Garden, Italian Gardens and the Dell, with its exquisite waterfall. There are plenty of cafés and quaint little vans to pick up food, coffee and ice cream, and the rest of Central London is right outside the park walls.

Book Native Hyde Park.

Native Hyde Park

If you’re staying in…Mayfair

Long, leisurely strolls down Mayfair’s wide avenues are the perfect way to dust off the cobwebs of lockdown. We’ll be heading straight for Shepherd Market, a hidden gem of a village square, tucked away between Piccadilly and Curzon Street. It’s full of little boutiques, restaurants and charming Victorian pubs, so it’s the perfect spot to pitch up and people-watch.

Book Native Mayfair.

Native Mayfair

If you’re staying in…Bankside

There’s something deeply refreshing about being by the water, so staying at Native Bankside, just a few minutes from the Thames, is an irresistible proposition. We know how hard the lockdown has hit our local drinking spots, eateries and food producers, so it’s tempting to eat three meals a day at Borough Market. Twenty of Borough’s best restaurants and bars are serving their wares al fresco, and the market stalls are open for business, so snap up a table and don’t count the calories.

Book Native Bankside.

Native Bankside

If you’re staying in…Fulham

Fulham’s pretty, artsy countryside vibe is perfect at this time of year and the beautiful Fulham Palace is a must-visit if you’re looking for fresh-aired fun. The museum and rooms are closed for a little while longer, but the expansive grounds, the botanical garden and walled garden are all open, as is (most importantly) the café. Book a tour, talk or trail or just rock up and spend the day.

Book Native Fulham.

If you’re staying in…the City

Leadenhall Market

Online shopping is so 2020. It’s time to browse. To compare. To ponder. And there’s nowhere better to re-learn the art of shopping than one of London’s many, many outdoor markets. When the City gets quiet at the weekend, walk over to Brick Lane and revel in the bustle, with street food, arts and crafts, vintage treasures and clothes all vying for your attention amidst the legendary curry houses and bagel shops.

Book Native Bank, Native Fenchurch Street, Native Tower Hill, Native Cannon Street or Native City.

Convenience of your own apartment

Being safe and sound is everyone’s no.1 priority right now, which is why our apartments combine the safety, freedom and flexibility of a private apartment with the comfort and convenience of a boutique hotel. No interruptions. No need to venture out. And best of all, everything comes to you. Our spacious apartments come with fully equipped kitchens and living spaces for you to make yourself at home. To stay compliant with government guidelines, our team may ask for evidence of your stay on check-in, so remember to bring proof of your hospital appointment or business meeting (for example) in case you’re asked.

Home-from-home comforts

We like to think of our apartments as your own little sanctuary, where you can do just about anything – relax, cook or order in, especially after a hard day. Don’t forget that you also get those little extra hotel-like services such as toiletries, fresh towels, weekly cleaning services and you’ll always have a 24-hour emergency support number.

As you’ve probably realised, we aren’t taking any chances and we have a wide range of processes in place to keep our guests and staff safe. Visit our Staying Safe hub for the latest information on our safety procedures.

New Year’s Eve: Celebrate in London

December 20, 2019 by admin

Watch from the river

On New Year’s Eve the Thames is adorned with dozens of glittering cruise boats, all with a great view of the fireworks. Or, if you fancy the James Bond experience, you could always go for a speedboat.

Watch from on high

Head for the hills with your cosiest coat and a flask of boozy hot chocolate. We think the best views are from Alexandra Palace, Primrose Hill, and Parliament Hill or Hampstead Heath.

Watch from your apartment

Of course, there’s no view in town that can compete with HD cameras on helicopters. So, pop a bottle of bubbly, snuggle on the sofa or even have a little soirée of your own – just don’t forget to turn on BBC One at five to midnight.

Cool and quirky New Year’s Eves

If you’re staying at one of our City aparthotels…

Party like it’s 1399 at the Ivory Vaults, where you’ll enjoy a six-course Medieval banquet. Order a mead or two from your serving wench as you watch knights, jesters, dancers and acrobats perform in your honour. You’re only a short stumble from one of our short stay apartments on Fenchurch Street.

If you’re staying at Native Bankside…

Party with RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Raja at the gorgeous LaLiT Ballroom for the party of the decade. Expect an utterly debauched “eleganza extravaganza”, with great music, bubbly and a four-course Pan-Indian dinner. Here you’re only an 18 minute walk back to bed at our hotel near Southbank, Native Bankside.

Ring in the 2020s in one of our holiday apartments in London.

November 26, 2019 by admin

Where are you staying?

Our hotel near Southbank.

Like serene green and a royal welcome? You’ll love Hyde Park

The largest of London’s Royal Parks, it connects some of the city’s best loved areas. There’s Bayswater to the north, Mayfair to the east and Knightsbridge to the south, to name but a few. The park itself is a heavenly expanse of history within calm green space, with a lake you can swim in, sculptures, water features and a gallery. There’s also the Serpentine Pavilion – a stunning temporary structure designed by a different, carefully selected, artist each year. All just a ten minute walk from Oxford Street.

Where are you staying?
Our aparthotel near Hyde Park is the perfect pied-à-terre to unwind after a day exploring the area.
We also have beautiful serviced apartments in Mayfair, located in converted Victorian mews near to Marble Arch and Bond Street.

Like tradition and innovation? You’ll love the City of London

The City is delightfully contradictory. It’s where old meets new, formal meets quirky and quintessential Britishness meets the global economy. Gone are the bowler hats and bumbershoots, but that big business energy still pervades the whole district, bringing a celebratory vibe to the restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs where the suited and booted go to toast the end of the workday.

Where are you staying?
We have a few aparthotels and serviced apartments ideally located for you to explore The City.
Our hotel near bank station, Native Bank, is just a stone’s throw away from London’s banking district.
Our hotel near Cannon Street is also nearby, located in a charming townhouse near the City’s Square Mile.
Halfway between the banking district and the East End, Native’s high spec serviced apartments near Tower Hill offer stunning views of the Gherkin and The City.
Also nestled in the heart of the City is Native Fenchurch Street, a former tea warehouse home to stunning short stay apartments.

Like leafy streets and waterside walks? You’ll love Fulham

Dotted with pretty parks, antique shops, cafés and crafts, Fulham has a creative countryside vibe even in the heart of London’s Zone 2. The beautiful Fulham Palace is well worth a visit, as are any of the brilliant gastro pubs, while culture vultures will flock to the London Theatre Workshop and the Grapefruit Gallery.

Where are you staying?
Perfectly located near parklands and riverside pubs, Native’s serviced apartments in Fulham is home to serene apartments that are ideal to relax after a day exploring the city.
