A Mancunian institution, the Vinyl Exchange has stood on the corner of Oldham Street in the bustling Northern Quarter since the late 80s. Time has passed but the record store is still supported by the loyal collective of music creators and lovers. The Vinyl Exchange holds two floors of CDs, DVDs and of course vinyls! Stocking vinyl’s from rock and indie, alternative, hip hop, house, techno, rave, disco (our favourite), soul, jazz and blues – so basically pretty much every style of music. If you’re ever stuck the team know their genre’s from the first to last beat. It’s our go-to spot to find that beat we can’t stop tapping our foot to.

We probably spend too much time flicking through the vinyls but we’re always drawn to disco.
