Among the first wave of specialist retailers that arrived at Borough Market in the late 1990s, the Monmouth Coffee Company has become the most revered coffee shop in London. The company uses a variety of specially selected single-origin coffee beans from farms and cooperatives around the coffee-growing world. They’re skilfully roasted in Bermondsey and skilful baristas make one of the best coffees in London.
Our top tip?
Monmouth doesn’t use single-paper cups, make sure you bring your own. Annoying for some but vital to us.
