Monmouth’s philosophy is all about simplicity and substance. They work directly with growers and cooperatives around the world, sourcing high-quality, single-origin beans that reflect the land, altitude and craft behind every cup.
The beans are roasted at their Bermondsey site in small batches, allowing flavour and provenance to take centre stage. Whether you prefer a bright Kenyan filter or a chocolatey Guatemalan espresso, the baristas are on hand to recommend something to suit your taste.
In a city saturated with coffee chains, Monmouth’s no-frills, thoughtful approach is refreshing. There’s no loud branding or overdone latte art, just excellent coffee, served by people who really care.
The space is intimate, often with a queue that spills into the street a sure sign of its cult following. And don’t forget: Monmouth no longer offers single-use cups, so bring your own or buy a reusable one on-site.
