Crochet Workshop: Granny Squares for Beginners

Beginning your crochet journey? Then this is the craft class for you! Learn one of the iconic fundamentals of crochet and pick up loads of skills along the way as you make your very own granny square.

Using basic crochet stitches, you will make one of the most popular crochet items out there. Granny squares are so easy to make and super versatile. Once you sew a few together you can make everything from blankets to cardigans, toys, cushion covers and more.

The best part? You don’t need to know how to crochet! You can join in on this friendly class as a complete beginner, pick up a crochet hook and dive right into the colourful fun of yarn. If you do have some crochet experience, you’re also welcome to come. All the materials you need are supplied, but you can bring your own if you’d like to! (you’ll need DK yarn in 2 or 3 colours, and a size 4 hook)

You will cover the ins and outs of crochet patterns and stitches. Throughout this textiles class, you’ll soon start to feel the calming and mindful benefits of crochet, build your confidence and maybe even find your new favourite hobby.
